D.C Voltage Gradient Measurement DCVG

When D.C signal such as cathodic protection current is added to the pipeline, the current density of the defect point of the pipeline anti-corrosion coating will increase. And then, the voltage gradient will grow. The voltage gradient is in direct proportional to the damage area of the defect point. 


Applicability

1) Accurately find out the position of defect point;

2) According to the flow direction of corrosive current, it judges the corrosive situation of the defect point. If the corrosive current flows to the soil, the pipeline of the defect point is corroding. If it flows to the pipeline, it indicates that the pipeline of the defect pint will not corrode.
