Historical Background

For the anti-corrosion of the inside wall of water pipe with the diameter below Φ800mm, it usually applies the rubber lining and plastic coating. However, the coating shedding is its fatal wound. The electric potential of the “pitting anode” cathodic protection system is uneven. Also, the installation will seriously damage the pipeline.

Currently, the impressed current cathodic protection technology is a more effective measure for anti-corrosion. Yet, due to the space limitation, it proposes higher requirements on the structure and installation of the auxiliary anode. Our company develops the “linear” auxiliary anode patent technology which not only solves the difficulty of how to install the auxiliary anode inside the small-bore pipeline but also settles the problem of anti-corrosion that the protection potential of the inside wall of pipeline is uneven.

Composition of system: auxiliary anode; auxiliary anode installation base; power control device (potentiostat); reference electrode; cable (cathodic cable, anode cable and reference electrode cable).

The auxiliary anode applies Φ3mmfiliform MMO mixed metallic oxide anode material, coated with the non-metallic insulating sleeve with the Φ6~8 holes and professional installation base and tool.
