Electro-deposition Pb-0.8% Ag alloy anode was made by lead and silver anode on the surface of aluminum sheet. The traditional cast Pb-0.8% Ag alloy anode was made by hard film casting method. The electrochemical properties, structure and morphology of the two kinds of anodes were studied with constant current polarization, cyclic voltammetry, AC impedance, x - ray and scanning electron microscopy.
The results show that compared with the cast Pb-0.8%Ag alloy electrode, the anodic film of the electrodeposited Pb-0.8%Ag alloy anode is more homogeneous and more stable; the PbO2 amount formed on the surface is more, the corrosion resistance and the conductivity are better, the surface morphology is more dense and uniform.
